DEBBY DOOLITTLE:

Born 1964 Pomona, California, Debby was raised in La Canada, California where she attended La Canada High School. She attended college at Cal Poly, Pomona and studied Animal Science/Agri-Business. She and her husband, Scott Doolittle, were married in 1988 and moved to Germany for four years. Daughters Lindsey and Sarah were both born in Germany. The family returned to California, moving to Suisun in 1993. Daughter Allyson was born in 1995. Debby now works full time for Solano County in the Auditor - Payroll Division.

Her family is a "Soccer Family". Both she and Scott played for the Suisun Sonics in Vacaville for the Soccer Center of Excellence during the 2000 summer and Fall Seasons. They continue to play indoor soccer with the City of Suisun and at the YMCA. Daughters Lindsey, Sarah and Allyson have all played soccer for FSYSL for many years now.

Debby started her youth coaching with Sarah's U-8 team "The Enforcers" as the head coach and team manager. She has been a team manager and assistant coach for three years with the Ladybugs. She currently holds a CYSA Level "E/D" Coaching License. She is also an active referee, and holds a USSF Level 8 Referee License. Debby is also a "Soccer Mom" for daughters Lindsey and Allyson, and is active with both of their teams.

Not one to limit herself, Debby is also a committed member of the FSYSL Board of Directors. She held the position of Publicity Coordinator and was a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance Committee for the 2001 recreational season. At the FSYSL Annual General Meeting in December 2001, Debby was elected to the position of FSYSL Treasurer. Now in her second year as Treasurer she looks forward to another busy year and exciting year working towards the FSYSL goal to provide an opportunity for youth players of all levels of skill to participate in a soccer program that puts the players first!

Since there really is life outside of soccer (!), Debby also enjoys volunteering at her daughter's school with fundraising and other activities. She also enjoys music, reading, snow skiing and other family activities.

FERNANDO CORREA:

He is originally from South America (Ecuador) where at a very young age he started to play soccer.  At the age of 10 Fernando was selected to play with the youth competitive team in his city where they traveled around the country.

In 1972 Fernando came to the US and lived in San Francisco where it seemed like everybody played soccer year round. As a junior high student he was awarded All City Soccer Player, (chosen by all the High School Coaches).

In 1978 Fernando moved to Manteca, CA and played for the Manteca High Soccer team. A large majority of the team had no soccer skills. Fernando with his coach and a teammate (who was an exchange student from Mexico) created a team that was "Able to play soccer." Their goal for that season was to bring back a trophy called the "Bobby Baldwin Cup" which had been won by East Union High School for 7 years in a row. In this year Fernando’s team won that trophy and he can honestly say that it was his best year in high school. Fernando was voted MVP and also awarded a scholarship to play soccer at Stanislaus State University.

In 1978 Fernando went to Stanislaus State where he played soccer for 2 years. Then he served in the Marine Corps for three years. Fernando made the All Star Marine team - where they traveled around the military bases to compete against other teams.  After he left the service Fernando returned to San Francisco and played in First Division Teams for many years and also had the opportunity to coach adult teams.

In 1993 Fernando and his family moved to Solano County. Being new to the area he looked for teams that he could play for. Fernando was asked by a friend to help coach U-12 boys and began coaching Youth Teams. With the experience he had as a player, it was very easy for him to teach the kids to play the game.

In 1995, his second year of coaching, Fernando took a team of U-12 boys recreational level to the State Cup. It was the FSYSL first time in 10 years that a team at the recreational level had been to the State Cup. When his oldest daughter asked him to train and coach her, (which he has for the last seven years), Fernando said yes. He has coached his daughters’ teams and trained other teams as well (Recreational, Competitive, High School). He has also trained two competitive teams in Vacaville. Fernando holds a CYSA (E/D) Coaching License.

JOHN FOLEY:

Born in 1972 San Benito, Texas, Johnny moved to Solano County in 1977 with his family when his mother graduated college with a nursing degree. From a very young age Johnny had a great appreciation for sports and competition. Johnnys first encounter with soccer was at the age of 7 years old, when one day he accompanied his friend to watch his older brothers soccer tryouts. He remembers being extremely impressed with what he saw. His friend's older brother was able to juggle the ball over fifty times with his head! Johnny was hooked, that year he asked his mom to sign him up for FSYSL. In Johnnys first year he lead his team in scoring and his team went undefeated.

Johnny has an E license and started his youth coaching with his daughter Angie's under 6 and under 8 teams, as an assistant coach. He served as head coach for Angie's under 8 and under 10 season as well coaching an under 19 team.

Johnny has a total of twentyeight soccer seasons behind him, four of those at the competitive level. He still continues to play to this day for the Soccer Center of Excellence.

This team has the support of dedicated parents, who willingly are providing the opportunity for these young players to learn and develop competitive soccer skills.
